Red Umbrella

Where I come from, red is a festive color. Red is also very common in East Asian architecture and decorative elements. It could mean sacred, festival, spiritual, or in this case, inviting.

This was the first time I tried using polyester thread instead of cotton for embroidery. I purposely chose an umbrella as the main object to test the cleaner outline effect that polyester thread provides. It gave the final product an edgier look.
